Re: crossfader not responding
Can't think of a setting but might try reset unit to factory default.
May lose your tracks though.
Otherwise I'm thinking the touch sensor may be faulty.

Re: crossfader not responding
Is it having no effect on both line out and headphobe cue (push p-button while fading )?
Does it change the crossfader lights or is it just audio not fading?
Doubt it is your tracks and not heard of any firmware bugs causing this. Wad it ok before firnware update? You might try downgrading

Re: PMD doesnt like SSD?
Maybe you can buy a cheap USB based hard drive caddy to test it. Once done, you can use your old drive in there as a portable drive.

Re: PMD doesnt like SSD?
There's no debugging you can turn on that I know off. Thew page you linked to is not written in a language I can read, so I have no idea of the specs. According to Cubicgarden in this post , you need a 40 pin ZIF connection. Is that what it has? Also talk of 0.2 and 0.3 ZIF connections. It all means...

Re: Firmware causing problems with Mixing
Hi Cubic, you are a Pacemaker user from wayback.
So it sounds like it was the Pacemaker or the firmware on it at fault. if it's still the same, try the same firmware that's on your new unit.

Re: Backing up PMD
Don't think it's a known issue. If you have Windows you could try my PMExplorer app and the "retrieve tracks" feature to pull your music off the device onto pc and rename then from the cryptic hex filenames to real filenames based on the mp3 tag info at the same time. You can also do it in batches, ...

"Has been upgraded to 2014 firmware released by pacemaker device group. (Not Tonium) works perfect."
Do you realise it's the exact same lead programmer that writes these updates as wrote the original firmware?

Re: Beats For Wesley
Just a bump to remind anyone that's interested that this event is this Sunday.
Collectively we are looking for as much support and donations as we can.
Cheers
