Improve Performance/Sound Quality

Post by SIGMA__7 » Fri Sep 28, 2012 5:49 pm

I find there is some very minor loss of performance and sound quality (in some cases, during some input and adjustments) when the PMA is left at the default to allow timestretching ie this option is found in the menu and basically allows you the master tempo function - that is the concept of maintaining pitch (key) when adjusting tempo (bpm) of different tracks.

if you don't have Mixed in Key, Platinum Notes or you can't naturally tell when two songs are in clashing keys, it is better to use SoundForge or something similar to adjust the tempo (bpm) of your songs outside of PMA - done in via "pitch correction" or timestretch option or process depending on software. this avoids the need to do it in real time and maintains the PMA's peak performance in my opinion.
