In the first instance I would attempt to reformat the drive which will restore factory defaults.

I'm not totally sure, but this may also put down the factory fitted software. Perhaps the next person to try this can confirm?


If that doesn't help then you can try a restore via DFU mode.

Once you format the harddrive there is nothing. You will get the message the harddrive has been reformatted please upgrade your firmware. It will not do anything until you put the firmware back on it.
